NCAA 13 Football Has Arrived

Or, more precisely, I have arrived back at my apartment from summer break and can now get started with this game. I was super stoked to just check out gameplay, so I jumped right into online play without any thought or planning. I lost my first game but won the next, then thought better of any more experimentation with my record on the line.

My immediate thought: Florida isn't so good anymore. The QB is fast (87 SPD) but mediocre otherwise (80 OVR); the running back situation is pretty piss poor as well (best RB is 84 OVR with 92 SPD). Fastest WR is only 94 SPD (and only 82 OVR). The fullback is fast (88 SPD) and the starting TE is an impact player (still only 85 OVR and 83 SPD, not exactly Gronkowski), but that's about it. The offensive line is almost a liability, and the defense is unspectacular.

On the bright side, no one will accuse me of cheesing when I play with Florida this year.

I went into the rosters and began scouting some other teams, but my heart wasn't in it; I just can't imagine bailing on my Gators. Instead, I will focus on playbook design. More on that later today, I suspect.
